The Sound Mill Art Society is a nonprofit arts collective based in Squamish, British Columbia, dedicated to fostering inclusive, experimental, and community-driven art and music experiences. The society is committed to supporting artists from all cultures and backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and underrepresented or experimental artists, both locally and internationally. Through interactive art workshops, musical events, and diverse community functions, The Sound Mill aims to create a community hub where creative practitioners can connect with people from all walks of life.

The Sound Mill Art Society was spawned by a collaboration between Drea Moothu—an artist, poet, and musician known for organizing events like Poet Next Door, Queergasm, and Soul House productions—and William Wallace, an artist, musician, and instrument builder who lead the Swarm percussion ensemble and Jellyeye drum opera. They are joined by Jacquie Menezes, an event curator and marketing manager, and Greg Pillon, a visionary and writer. Together, this team actively brings unique art and music practices to the Squamish area.

On June 26, 2025, The Sound Mill will present the second iteration of “Crash! Bang! Boom!”—a world music percussion event that will be part of the Squamish Arts Festival's opening ceremonies. This event promises an immersive experience featuring rhythm, movement, and community engagement. Squamish Arts Festival
